Ranbir Kapoor's mouth seems to be on a mission to get him in trouble. Whenever he tries to be funny, he ends up saying something distasteful, misogynistic, or just plain stupid.
Ranbir Kapoor is also quite the wild child, isn't he? In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, he revealed that he drew inspiration from his own life to enact the trauma and emotion related to drug abuse and strained relationships in Sanju. Talk about method acting!
Apparently, Ranbir believes that drinking is in his blood since his entire family is fond of alcohol. He even confessed, "I don’t have a drinking addiction but yes I have a tendency to drink a lot. When I start, I don’t stop." Looks like Ranbir likes to party like there's no tomorrow!
But wait, there's more! Ranbir also revealed that he's no stranger to weed. In fact, he used it during the shoot of Rockstar to help him get into character. "Pot made those moments feel real," he said. Looks like he's not afraid to push the boundaries for his craft.
During a promotion of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar on The Kapil Sharma Show, Ranbir claimed that women can get over heartbreaks by just grooming their upper lip and eyebrows. Uh, sorry Ranbir, that's not how I think it works.
In an interview with Good Times, Ranbir revealed that he doesn't want his daughter to be like his "loud" wife, Alia Bhatt. Apparently, he thinks it would be easier to "handle" her if she's quiet like him. Sexism begins at home, folks. During a live session of Brahmastra, Ranbir made a "joke" about Alia's weight gain during her pregnancy. Again not cool, dude.
In another instance, Ranbir compared Alia to a "tadka" in dal-chawal during the trailer launch of Shamshera. Come on, Ranbir, can't you refer to the women in your life as actual human beings?
And let's not forget the time when he laughed at the existence of a casting couch in the film industry during the teaser release of Sanju. Not cool, Ranbir, not cool.
And let's not forget about his relationship drama. Ranbir finally confessed to cheating on Deepika Padukone "out of immaturity, out of inexperience, out of taking advantage of certain temptations, out of callousness." Ouch!
But it's not just his love life that's complicated. Ranbir's parents, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, had a troubled marriage, and he was caught in the middle. "Sometimes the fights would get really bad," he revealed. "I would be sitting on the steps, my head between my knees, till five or six in the morning, waiting for them to stop." Yikes, that's some serious family drama!
And for Alia Bhatt, we're not sure what she sees in him, but apparently, she's blind to all the red flags waving in her face. The guy's a drunk, a cheat, and a Casanova with a capital C. Even Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor are giving him a side-eye, and those two are no strangers to a wild night out.
Arjun Kapoor once named Ranbir as the most likely to go to jail for getting drunk. Ouch, that's gotta hurt. But we can't say we're surprised, considering the whiskey flask Ranbir was guzzling from at Akash Ambani's wedding. Talk about a wild baarat!
But it's not just alcohol that runs rampant in the Kapoor khandan. Someone used to know the Khar police chief and he spilled the tea that Rishi and Neetu Kapoor would frequently get reported for domestic disturbances. Noise complaints, drunken brawls, you name it. These so-called elites are more like lowlife losers.
And let's not forget about Ranbir's face these days. Has he gone under the knife or what? His head looks like it's carrying more secrets than a gossip column.
But hey, maybe there's hope for him yet. If he can lay off the booze and drugs and start making better career choices, he might just become the Nate Archibald of Bollywood. Good-looking, stoned, and aimless. We're rooting for you, Ranbir!
But wait, there's more. Rumor has it that Ranbir's love for booze and drugs may run in the family. Does that mean Ranveer's dad is a coke fiend or that Deepika Padukone's parents like to smoke up? We'll leave that for you to ponder.
